Aston Martin’s meest opwindende sportwagen
Men neme de V8 Vantage Coupe, vervangt motor en aandrijving door de 6 liter V12 krachtbron van de DB9, maakt de auto nog stijver, lichter en sportiever et voila, de V12 Vantage.
Zo eenvoudig als het hier staat was dat natuurlijk niet. Al zijn de afmetingen van de V8 Vantage en de V12 Vantage praktisch identiek, het zijn totaal verschillende auto’s.
De 6.0-liter V12 motor produceert 510 bhp (380 kW) en 570 Nm aan Koppel. Dat is in deze compacte coupe goed voor een top van 305 km/u en een acceleratie van 0-100 km/u in 4.2 sec.
In de ontwikkeling van onderstel, stuurgedrag en remmen (keramische remschijven!) is alle ervaring gestoken die Aston Martin Racing bezit. Het is zeker geen hardcore racer geworden, want met de V12 Vantage kunt u ook prima gaan shoppen of ontspannen naar de Côte d’Azur rijden. Maar wenst u prestaties, dan krijgt u prestaties. Met een geluid dat permanent kippenvel veroorzaakt. Eindeloze trekkracht. Een direct stuurgedrag als van een kart. En toch met behoud van alle Aston Martin stijl, comfort, verfijning. De V12 Vantage behoort tot ’s werelds snelste sportwagens, maar is nooit ordinair.
De V12 Vantage met zijn prijs vanaf € 249.200,00 is een Limited Edition, er worden maximaal 1.000 exemplaren gebouwd.
