Aston Martin DB9 Volante
De aanduiding Volante wordt bij Aston Martin sinds meer dan halve eeuw gebruikt voor haar cabriolets, softtops of convertibles, dus de open uitvoeringen. Een naam even elegant als de auto's zelf en inmiddels een synoniem voor stijl en comfort zonder hun gelijke.
De DB9 Volante werd gelijktijdig met de DB9 Coupe ontwikkeld. De combinatie van het ultrastijve platform van verlijmd aluminium, koolstofvezel en composietmateriaal met verstevigingen om het ontbreken van een vast dak op te vangen, leidde tot een opmerkelijk stijve carrosserie.
Dat merkt u vanaf de eerste meters achter het stuur. De DB9 Volante stuurt even strak en nauwkeurig als de DB9 Coupe, presteert even indrukwekkend, biedt evenveel comfort en verfijning. Met natuurlijk als bonus de prachtig geconstrueerde softtop die bestand is tegen het slechtste weer en binnen enkele seconden zacht zoemend opent of sluit.
Technisch is de DB9 Volante gelijk aan de DB9 Coupe; de uitrusting is identiek, de keus aan opties is vrijwel identiek aan de Coupe, uitgezonderd het Sports Pack. U kunt daardoor de auto exact zo laten bouwen als u 'm wenst. In werkelijk elke denkbare kleur (zelfs in die van andere automerken) en met een contrasterende of bijpassende kleur softtop. Ook voor het interieur heeft u een ongeëvenaarde keus voor de kleur leer, de binnenafwerking van de softtop, de stiksels, het tapijt en de afwerking van het dashboard. Wenst u mahonie, bamboe, piano zwart, essenhout en bijpassend hout voor de lijsten op de portieren? Al uw wensen kunnen worden gerealiseerd, tot en met een Beosound audioinstallatie van Bang & Olufsen waarmee u zelfs bij volgas de brul van de V12 kunt overstemmen...
